Beaman, Oct. 13 – J. W. Young has returned from Lisbon, where he was called to attend the funeral of his mother, who died in LaCrosse last Friday. She was about 90 years old and an early pioneer of Linn County, having settled there in 1846, the year that Iowa became a state.
