Special to the Nonpareil
CEDAR RAPIDS, Ia. Feb 7. – Fast mail train No. 15 on the Northwestern was wrecked in the east yards here at 11 o’clock yesterday. Conductor J. K. Goodwin, Brakemen E. A. McGee, and A. C. Addison were slightly injured and taken to a hospital. Their escape was miraculous, as the baggage car in which they were riding was demolished. The train which was west-bound and carried much Chicago and eastern mail, was laid out here, and the mail will be sent through on the evening trains.
