Last Rites are Paid to Carroll Joy

Funeral services for the late Carroll Joy were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the family residence, 816 Grand avenue, with the Rev. F. W. Long officiating, assisted by the Rev. H. B. McElree. The interment was in Oakland cemetery and the pallbearers were: Robert Ebersole, Gerard Huiskamp, Joseph McGrath, Harold Hubinger, Van Hayden, Albert Jenkins, Edward Elder, Francis Weber.

The body arrived this morning accompanied by C. R. Joy from Annapolis, and was met at the station by a representative body of the business and professional men of Keokuk. A procession lead by the city officials and with the drum corps, an honor guard for the hearse, and a guard of honor of Elks and business men escorted the body from the station to the undertaking parlors of J. J. Crimmins and Sons.
