Dorcas Haney Busard, age 93 of Ft. Madison, died on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 5:00 AM at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA.

She was born on September 15, 1914 in Milton, IA to George and Nellie Halstead Haney. On March 15, 1933 she married John F. Busard, he preceded her in death on December 5, 1981. Dorcas and John owned and operated Busard's Mobile Home Park for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Dorcas was a member of the Women's Federated Club, The King's Daughters and Sons and held numerous offices in each. She was a former Jefferson Township Trustee for a number of years.

Survivors include three sons, Rodney (Sheila) Busard of Donnellson, James (Carol) Busard of Carthage, IL and Steven (Jane) Busard of West Point; three daughters, Barbara (Ray) Judy of Ft. Madison, Melody (Dick) Huffman of Burlington, and Christine (Randy) Crowner of Burlington; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2008 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Rodney Busard officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM just prior to the service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
