Relatives here have received the news of the death of Albert H. Garretson, a former Keokuk resident, at Tacoma, Washington, on Sunday. The decedent was a lawyer by profession, and practiced before the bar here for fourteen years.

Mr. Garretson was born in Henry county, near Salem, Iowa, on September 19, 1847. He studied law and moved to Keokuk in 1877 to practice here with his brother,
John Garretson. He was a member of the Unitarian church here and at one time was superintendent of the Sunday school.

The decedent left Keokuk twenty-five years ago for Tacoma, which was his home for the rest of his life. The elder members of the Keokuk bar will remember Mr. Garretson well. He leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter to mourn his loss.

The sons are Henry Garretson and Max Garretson, and the daughter, Mrs. Grace Liewellin. T. Henderson of Keokuk is a cousin.
