Merriam Ilene Leazer, 74, of Fairfield, died today, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

Merriam Ilene Leazer, 74, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Witherspoon officiating. Burial will be at Sharon Cemetery in Lee County.

Visitation for family and friends is 9-10 a.m. Saturday, the hour prior to the funeral.

Memorials may be made to Parkview Activities Fund.

Ms. Leazer was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Owen Guy and Edith Pearl Barnes Leazer.

She graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1959.

She loved to read and do puzzles.

She attended the Calvary Baptist Church at Batavia.

Survivors include her siblings, Delta Leazer of Montgomery, Texas, Harold Leazer of Wilton, Garold Leazer of Fairfield, Floyd Leazer of Great Falls, Mont., James Leazer of Monument, Colo., Leron Leazer of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jerry Leazer of Batavia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Olan, Keith, Victor and Newell Leazer.
