DIES THURSDAY AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. Gerhardt Jacobsmeier, 52, resident of Houghton, Iowa, died at 10 o’clock this morning in Sacred Heart hospital. Mrs. Jacobsmeier submitted to an operation last Monday.

Born in St. Paul, Iowa, April 7, 1885, Mrs. Jacobsmeier was a life-long resident of that community. Mrs. Jacobsmeier, nee, Anna Peitzmeier, was united in marriage to Gerhardt Jacobsmeier in St. John’s Catholic church in Houghton, April 25, 1906. She was a member of St. John’s church and of the Holy Rosary society of that church.

Surviving are her husband and nine children, five sons, Lambert Jacobsmeier, San Predo, Cal., William, Alphonse, Joseph and Bernard Jacobsmeier, Houghton; four daughters, Mrs. George Witting, Houghton; Mrs. Alfred Hellman, Pilot Grove; Beatrice and Cecelia, Houghton; five brothers, Henry, John and Edward Peitzmeier, Houghton,; Conrad Peitzmeier, Pilot Grove, and August Peitzmeier, St. Patrick, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. John Jacobsmeier, Houghton, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Monday morning from St. John’s church, Houghton, Rev. J. N. Adams, officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s cemetery, Houghton.

The body was taken to the Weisbruch Funeral Home here today.
