Catherine Schindall

Catherine Jane Schindall, 77, of Clinton, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at her home.

Born May 19, 1923, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of David and Barbetta Schneicker Bishop, Sr. On Jan. 12, 1944, she married LaVern C. Schindall in Keokuk. He died Sept. 28, 1997.

Mrs. Schindall was a homemaker.

She was also a secretary at Hall's Appliance for several years.

Survivors include one son, Ronald J. Schindall, of Elm Grove, La.; two daughters, Sandra Butler of Stockbridge, Mich., Patricia Munz of Clinton; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Behtz of Burlington and Darlene Smith of Fort Madison; one brother, David Bishop, Jr. of Clinton.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son.

There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.

The graveside memorial for Mrs. Schindall and burial of remains will be 2 p.m. Friday in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.

A memorial has been established for Mercy Hospice. Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory of Clinton is in charge of arrangements.
