A simple but pretty ceremony was solemnized at the G. E. church at Donnellson, Iowa, April 25, at high noon, when Miss Dorothea Wahrer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wahrer, of near Charleston, Iowa, became the bride of Mr. Guy Frank Riefe, of New London, Iowa, Rev. Wm. Kreis officiating. The ceremony was witnessed by the immediate relatives of the bride and groom, after which the bridal party returned to the home of the bride, where a reception was held, followed by a three course dinner.
The bride was daintily attired in a simple gown of silk marquesitte (marquisette ?) with pearl trimmings, and carried a bouquet of white carnations, smilax and ferns . The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wahrer, who by her sunny disposition has won a large circle of friends. She has been a teacher in the public schools of both Lee and Henry counties for three years, while teaching in the latter the bride met the young man whom she has chosen as her husband.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Riefe of near New London, Iowa, is a young man of sterling qualities and excellent character.
