SUMMITVILLE

Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Smith of Summitville were pleasantly surprised last evening when fifty friends and neighbors gathered at their home.
The party was in honor of their daughter, Miss Alta M. Smith, who for the past two years has been employed with the War Department in Washington, D. C., and who will resume her duties there November 1st. Lieutenant Ralph E. Barnes, son-in-law of Mr. Smith, was also present at the party. Lieutenant Barnes will return to Fort Baynard, New Mexico, where he is stationed in service, next week. During the evening Miss Alta Smith rendered a much enjoyed musical program.
