KEOKUK REDEEMED – The last stringent law in Keokuk of $400 for the privilege and making and killing off drunkards, is a long stride towards redeeming that young and thriving city. We understand that none have taken out the licenses as yet. One outlaw attempted to defy the Ordinance and swore he would sell, anyhow! The b’boys got together and completely riddled his doggery. They turned the liquor into the streets, and didn’t even leave a ghost of a decanter or tumbler in the shop.
