On Saturday evening at the M.E. church parsonage occured the marriage of Miss Jessie Iola Marshall, to Mr. John William Shaw. Mr. Shaw is an employee at the Ft. Madison Button factory where he has worked for several years and Miss Marshall is one of the graduating class of the Montrose High School this year.

Mr. Shaw is the son of John and Ida Shaw and has made his home here at Montrose for all of his life and is a well respected citizen of this place. Miss Marshall is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Amanda Marshall and has lived here the largest part of her life.

The young couple were attended by Miss Lottie Marshall a sister of the bride and Mr. Ralph Hancock a friend of the bride and groom. The ceremony was the single ring and as performed by the pastor of the Methodist Church Rev. W.S. Cardiner. The young couple will make their home with the grooms mother Mrs. Ida Shaw here in Montrose. The Journal joins their many friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous married life.
