TINSMAN, J. B., of the firm of Wycoff & Tinsman, dealers in new and second-hand merchandise, on Main street, between Fifth and Sixth streets. Mr. Tinsman was born in Westmoreland Co., Penn., in 1826. In 1854, he removed to Meigs Co., Ohio ; thence to Ripley Co., Ind., in 1856 ; removed to this city in 1865. He married in Beaver Co., Penn., Miss Lavina Nagle. They have one child - Annie (now the wife of J. Wycoff). Mr. T. acts with the National party ; is a member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge.
