SNYDER, JACOB S., wagon and general repairer, and horseshoeing shop, Main St., near Thirteenth Mr. Snyder was born in Hartford, Conn., in 1832 ; in 1842, removed, with his parents, to Mercer Co., Penn., where he remained until he was 17 years of age; he then went to Wheeling, Va., where he learned the blacksmithing trade ; came to this city in 1855; at the breaking-out of the war he entered the service as black smith. In 1857, he married Miss L. H. Hamilton, a native of Ripley Co., Ind.; they have two children—Ida Elizabeth and John Albert. Mr. Snyder and wife are members of the Baptist Church.
