CHATMAN, CHARLES W., member of Fire Department, Keokuk; was born in Highland Co., Ohio, in 1849 ; came to Keokuk in 1861. In 1870, he married Miss Eliza Kelly, of this city ; they have four children—Lena, Adelia, Harry, Walter and America ; Mr. Chatman has been connected with the fire department over five years ; he is the President of the Fire Association.
