Mary Edna Nemmers was born in Bancroft, Iowa on July 15th, 1892 and she made her home in this vicinity from childhood. On February 17th, 1909 she was united in marriage to Frank Ellison and to this union two children were born, two little daughters, Etta aged 8 and Dorothy aged 2, who together with the husband and many other relatives survive her. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Nemmers of this city, her father having preceded her to the grave a few months ago. Mrs. Ellison, together with the family, lived at Mason City for about a year after her marriage, when they moved to Bancroft and about two years ago they moved to Lone Rock, where Mrs. Ellison answered the final summons. Deceased was only ill about two weeks with albumin poisoning. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Ellison left to mourn her loss, her mother, Mrs. Anna Nemmers of this city, her brothers, Selvesterm Clarence, Nick and John of Bancroft, Matt of Charles City, and George of Nashua, Iowa and the following sisters, Mrs. Cecil Ackerson of Bancroft, Rose Nemmers of Charles City, Mrs. Eugene Coats of Morgantown, West Va., and Mrs. Lena Warner of Fenton. The remains were laid to rest in the Lone Rock cemetery after services in the Christian church of that place of which she was a devoted member, the services being conducted by Rev. S. M. Gladstone of that city. Mrs. Ellison numbered her friends by her acquaintances and was held in the highest esteem by those who knew her. She was momber of both the Yeoman and Royal Neighbor lodges of Bancroft and during her residence here was one of the most influential and active members. Those from out of town attending the funeral were as follows: Rose Nemmers of Charles City, Mrs. A. M. Schneiders, Roy Shepher and Roy Ellison of Mason City, besides the Bancroft relatives. The Register joins the many friends of the Ellison family in this vicinity the hand of sympathy in their loss of a kind and loving wife and mother.
