Sunday afternoon occurred the funeral of Miss Alice Edina Swanson of Minneapolis. Miss Swanson has been in ill health for the past 4 years but the immediate cause of her death was Pulmonary Laryngitis. Miss Swanson was born in Bancroft December 11, 1897 and lived here until May 1905 when she moved with her parents to St. Peter, Minn., where they resided a year, after which they moved to Minneapolis. Death came to relieve her suffering in a hospital at Rochester, Minn., after an illness of about 2 months. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Swanson, well known residents of this vicinity. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church. She is survived by her parents, three brothers and one sister as follows: Mrs. G: L. Towers of Los Angeles, Calif., Roger of Hastings, Minn.; Enmer of Peoria and Harvey E. of Minneapolis. After services in the Lutheran church conducted by C. J. Berghult the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Greenwood cemetery. Those from out of town attending the funeral were as follows: Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of East Chain; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Anderson of Swea City; M. L. Johnson of East Chain and Miss Ida Johnson of Swea City.
