Casey Matthew Tobin was born to Michael and Susan (Hauck) Tobin on December 26, 1979 in Fairmont, MN. He died on April 6, 2021 in Rochester, MN, at the age of 41.
He graduated from North Kossuth High School in 1998.
On August 13, 2005, he was united in marriage to Sonja Hartman in Lakefield, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Ceylon, MN and later moved the family to Swea City, IA.
Casey loved watching his kids in sports, especially wrestling where everyone knew how proud he was of them by how loud he was. He was very proud of being a grandpa and spoiled her rotten! He would do anything for his family. Casey loved working on the family farm with his brother and working on machinery teaching all the boys the trade. He enjoyed dropping in on his friends at a moment’s notice. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his job at Jerry’s Well Service.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Swea City, IA.
Left to cherish Casey’s memories are his wife, Sonja Tobin; mother, Susan Tobin; children, Dalton Tobin, Harley Tobin, and Payton Dykstra; one granddaughter, Milani (Blue) Dykstra; brother, Joshua (Nikki) Tobin; sisters, Kaitlyn (Rob) Cass and Jessica Tobin; nephews Michael, Tyler, and Brayden Tobin, Jameson Cass, Dustin Svoboda, Austan Erickson, Quintin Erickson, Shawn Fritz, and Weston and Aaron Bramstedt and nieces, Isi Tobin, Heather Mastbergen and April Janfo; mother-in-law Pam (Scott) Schultz; sisters-in-law Tammy (Rich) Erickson, Carrie Henning and Tammy Hartman; along with many aunts and uncles.
He has been preceded in death by his father Michael Tobin, both sets of grandparents, and father-in-law.
A funeral service was held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Swea City, Iowa with burial at Harrison Township Cemetery in Swea City.
