Mrs. Elizabeth Springis

BRISTOL, IND. – Mrs. Elizabeth Springis, 81, formerly of Bristol, who lived with her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Schlehmeier, 704 Middlebury, Elkhart, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend.

Mrs. Springis was born on Nov. 13, 1894, in Latvia, and after coming to the United States in 1951, she lived in Iowa for nine years and then in Bristol. On Jan. 6, 1919, in Latvia, she married Rev. Fritz Springis, who died Feb. 17, 1964.

Surviving besides her daughter are a son Andy of Blue Earth, Minn.; six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Marie Kist of Elkhart, Ind. Mrs. Springis was a member of the Bristol United Methodist Church.
