We regret to recall the death of Mrs. Sarah A. Call, wife of A. C. Call, of Algona, on the 14th of May, aged 40 years. Mrs. Call came to Iowa with her husband in 1855, before Kossuth County was organized; she was the first white woman to set her foot on the town site of Algona, and gave the embryo town its pleasing name. She was an excellent woman, and leaves a husband and seven children, the youngest but two years of age.
