MRS. GILCHRIST DIED WEDNESDAY IN SOUTH DAKOTA
Grew to Womanhood and Was Married at Irvington In 1884;
Mrs. Almira Green, Algona, Daughter.

Mrs. Margaret Gilchrist, formerly of Irvington, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maud Kuhns, at Gettysburg, S. D., last Wednesday following an illness of several weeks. The remains were buried in the Central City, Iowa, cemetery beside those of her husband, Saturday.

Married at Irvington.
Mrs. Gilchrist was born Margaret Nellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Nellis, in Dekalb, Ill., Oct. 1, 1865. While a child she came to Kossuth county with her parents and they lived in the Irvington neighborhood for many years. On Feb. 29, 1884, she married A. W. Gilchrist at Irvington. Later they moved to Tracy, Minn., where they lived for many years until he passed away twenty years ago. She had made her home with the Gettysburg daughter the past six years.

Surviving are the two daughters, Mrs. Almira Green, Algona; Mrs. Maud Kuhns, Gettysburg, and a son, Lee Gilchrist, Wauseca, Minn. Two brothers, Russell Nellis of West Bend and Claude Nellis of Colorado Springs, Colo., and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Watson, of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. John Peterson, of Canada, also survive.
