Ranae Anderson, 63, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 23, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Ranae was born in Blue Earth, MN to Glenn and Pearl Lloyd and raised in Ledyard, Iowa. She retired a Federal Employee of 22 years in January of 2013. Ranae enjoyed reading, crocheting, crosswords, bingo and writing children's stories. She was looking forward to a summer of camping and fishing with her sisters. Her greatest joys were the love for her grandchildren and her precious Schnauzer, Maverick and granddog, Toby. Ranae is survived by her children, Natalie (Jeffrey) Martin of Allen, TX and Benjamin D. Anderson of Des Moines; her beloved grandchildren Alexander and Austin Martin, and Adriean Schwartz; her siblings, Gene (Sue) Lloyd of Alta, Bonnie Eiffler of Shell Rock, Shiela Prior of Altoona and Glennis (Dale) French of Ackley; and eleven nieces and nephews.
