BANCROFT MAN DEAD.
John Krapp Sr., Prominent Farmer, Passed Away Sunday After Long Illness.

John Krapp Sr., one of the most prominent and wealthy farmers of Greenwood township, passed away last Sunday afternoon, aged 55 years. He had been ill for several months, suffering with a weak heart, and had been confined to his home. The sudden death of his son, John, recently, undoubtedly hastened his end. Mr. Krapp was a public spirited citizen and took an active interest in politics. He was a devout member of the Catholic church. He was born in Germany and came to America with his parents in 1878. Several years ago he visited the home of his birth and upon his return expressed himself as having no desire to again live in Germany. He was a prosperous and successful farmer and his lands are well improved and fertile. Mrs. Krapp died five years ago. Four children, Leo, Martin, Gertrude and Barbara are left to mourn the death of their father. Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, at Bancroft.
