Howard R. Harris

Services for Howard R. Harris, 65, of 2706 Valley Drive, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Southtown Funeral Home with graveside services at 4p.m. at Garrett Cemetery near Delta.

Mr. Harris died Wednesday of cancer at Des Moines General Hospital.

Born in Bancroft, Mr. Harris lived in Des Moines for 40 years. He was a retired truck driver for the city and was a member of Teamsters Local 90.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy; two daughters, Patricia Rotter of Blairstown, and Joyce Gregson of Montezuma; two brothers; Floyd of Cedar Rapids, and Bernard of Oskaloosa; three sisters, Mildred Warner and Dorothy Gorman, both of Des Moines, and Eva Banes of North English, and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wakonda Christian Church.
