Clyde S. Behrends, 57, of Algona, died Thursday (Sept. 5, 1996)
at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Cecelia
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Guerdet of Sioux City and
the Rev. Steve Brodersen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery, with graveside military rites by the American Legion
and V.F.W.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Geilenfeld-
Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, with a 3 p.m. parish rosary and a
7:30 p.m. parish prayer service.

Clyde S. Behrends was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Ringsted.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of Algona; daughters, Connie
Zittritsch of Algona and Carl Rudolph of Phoenix, Ariz.; one
son, Alan Behrends of Kingman, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; two
brothers; and seven sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two
sisters.
