Nov 16, 1933 - Algona Upper Des Moines - St. Joe: Ernest Zeimet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zeimet died Thursday at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 9th at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Illg at Algona after a short illness with the flu.

Ernest was born Dec. 17th, 1920 and was nearly 13 years of age at death. He attended St. Joseph Catholic school for about three years, after which he was kept out suffering from a muscle ailment that has affected him for the past several years. For the past four or five years he has been in the care of his grandparents in Algona.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Joseph church at 9 o'clock with Rev. Father Francis Illg of Granville, an uncle of the boy, reading the requiem mass. Interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Pall bearers were six little cousins, Norbert and Jacob Thilges, Wilfred and William Becker, Ivan Kohlhaas and Raymond Zeimet.

He is survived by his parents, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Illg, and four sisters and three brothers, Gertrude, Elsie, Josephine, Gladys, Julius, Eugene, and Arthur, and many other relatives.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Matt Becker from Burt, Mr. and Mrs. Zeimet from West Bend, Mr. and Mrs. John Besch from Whittemore, and Frank Zeimet from Livermore.
