Sept 22, 1969 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Theodore (Ted) Wagner, 73, well-known Livermore resident, died Friday while on a fishing trip at Park Rapids, Minn. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Livermore, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, St. Joe. A parish rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Saturday; the Catholic Daughters of America held a rosary service at 2 p.m. Sunday, and the Knights of Columbus conducted a rosary service at 9 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving are his widow, Carmen; a daughter, Mrs. Luke McGuire, Burt; three grandchildren; three brothers, George, Sylvester and Orville, all of St. Joe; and a sister, Mrs. Nick Reding, Algona.
Mr. Wagner was born at West Bend and as a youth moved to the St. Joe area. In 1930 he married Carmen Lenertz at Livermore and they made their home on farms in the Bode and LuVerne area until retiring in 1959 and moving to Livermore.
Mr. Wagner was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1554, St. Joseph.
