Dec 6, 1975 - Humboldt Independent - Services for Mrs. Amalia Wagner, 67, St. Joe, were at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Wagner died at Humboldt Care Center North Monday evening.
Surviving are sons: Frank Wagner, Humboldt; John, St. Joe; daughter, Mrs. Don Brofer, Tempe, Ariz.; six grandchildren; a brother, Herman Illg, St. Joe; and sisters, Mrs. Harold Reding and Mrs. Alfred Reding, both of St. Joe.
Amalia Illg was born in Riverdale Township, Kossuth County, and attended school at St. Joe. She married George Wagner in 1929 at St. Joe, and they farmed in the Irvington - St. Joe area. Mr. Wagner died in 1970.
She continued to live on the farm until moving to the care center about six months ago because of ill health. She was a charter member of the St. Joe Court of Catholic Daughters of America.
