Vivian Harris McCrea, 75, an organist and pianist here for many years, died of a pulmonary embolism Monday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was the widow of Paul McCrea, retired executive editor of the Nations Business and former drama critic of the old Washington Daily News, who died in 1968.

Born in Fenton, Iowa, Mrs. McCrea lived in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Coe College. She came here in the mid-1920s and lived in Arlington before moving to St. Petersburg in 1969.

A talented organist and pianist, Mrs. McCrea also had been a puppeteer, as was her husband. They had written and produced their own shows for churches, hospitals, children's groups and charitable organizations.

Mrs. McCrea was a member of Rock Spring Congregational Church in Arlington.

There are no immediate survivors.

It is suggested that expressions of sympathy may be in the form of contributions to the Rock Spring Church Memorial Fund.
