Algona Upper DesMoines, December 5, 1950

Arlene Peterson of Swea City Weds in Chicago.
Swea City—Miss Arlene Peterson, daughter of Mrs. Fern Peterson, Swea City, and Theodore Bowman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bowman of Beardstown, Ill., were married Saturday, Nov. 11. The double-ring ceremony was performed at the West Bridge community church, Chicago, at 7:30 p.m.

The bride was attired in a copper colored velvet dress, with brown velvet shoes and hat. Her corsage was of yellow and brown pompon chrysanthemums.

Her sister, Mrs. Richard O. Green, Swea City, was her only attendant. Her dress was of forest green velveteen and her accessories were black. Attending the bridegroom was Ted Mingel of Chicago.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the apartment of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gonzali, friends of the bride.

Miss Peterson was graduated from the Swea City high school, after which she attended Vogue Fashion school, where she completed her course. She was employed as an instructor. Mr. Bowman is a member of the U.S. airforce and is stationed at Chanute Field, Ill., where his bride will join him later.
