Biography reproduced from page 382 of the History of Kossuth and Humboldt Counties, Iowa published in 1884:

E. N. Weaver is a native of Summit Co., Ohio, where he was born in 1834. Is a carpenter by trade, and has the reputation of being one of out most skillful artificers. He came to Algona in 1856, since which time he has been a resident of Kossuth county, with the exception of one year, when he resided in Waterloo.
