Biography reproduced from page 680 of Volume II of the History of Kossuth County written by Benjamin F. Reed and published in 1913:

Frank Riebhoff is one of the well known farmers located in Union township, Kossuth county, on one hundred and thirty-six acres of highly cultivated land which was originally purchased by his father who established his home there in 1856. Frank Riebhoff was born in Union township, Kossuth county, Iowa, April 29, 1867, and is a son of Michael and Amelia (Roan) Riebhoff. The former was a native of Germany and the latter of Scotland. The father emigrated to this country at an early day, locating first in Pennsylvania. In 1856 he established his home in Kossuth county, Iowa, where he purchased land located in Union township, and there continued to live during the remaining years of his life which closed in August, 1898. The mother died in 1907.

Frank Riebhoff was reared at home and received his early education in the public schools. He remained under the parental roof until he had attained his majority and at that time purchased the old homestead which he has greatly improved and where he has since continued to reside, giving his entire attention to the cultivation of the most highly developed farms in his part of the state.

Mr. Riebhoff was united in marriage in 1898 to Miss Minnie Seely a daughter of Andrew and Alice (Benschoter) Seely, both of whom were natives of Ohio. The father settled in Kossuth county in 1854 in company with Captain Ingham. He filed upon a government homestead located in Plum Creek township, where he established his home and continued to reside during the remaining years of his life which closed in April, 1896. The mother is still living and maintains her residence in Algona. To Mr. and Mrs. Riebhoff five children were born, Agnes, Clarence, Floyd, Clifford and one, who died in infancy.

Mr. Riebhoff is a member of the republican party. He is affiliated with the Yeoman lodge. He is one of the well known and successful farmers of Kossuth county, where he has been continuously engaged in agricultural pursuits from the early days of his manhood. He is to be found associated with every public measure which will improve and advance the conditions of the people of his county and state.
