Death Takes John J. Watts

Word has been received here of the death of John J. Watts, former Fairfield resident who died earlier this month at Chalmers, Ind.

Last rites were held in Brookston, Ind., with burial in the IOOF Cemetery there.

Watts was a retired farmer and had lived in that area for the past 45 years.

John J. Watts was born March 20, 1905, at Fairfield, the son of M.O. and Janie Watts. He graduated from the Fairfield High School. His wife, Edna, preceded him in death.

Surviving are three step-children, ten grandchildren and seven great-step-grandchildren. Also one sister, Gladys Coffin, Donnellson; three brothers, Charles, Fairfield; Raymond, Packwood; and Harold, Rantoul, Ill.
