Mary Allene McNabb Morris, 89, died Sat., Sept. 19, 1998, at the Madrid Home For The Aging in Madrid. She had been a resident of the Madrid Home for about eight years.

She was born March 29, 1909, in the Tioga neighborhood of Mahaska County. She graduated from Fremont High School and married Oliver McNabb, who died in 1958. In 1962, she married Lewis T. Morris at Arbelia, Mo. on Nov. 13, 1962; he died in 1990. She was a homemaker.

Besides her two husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Clair McNabb; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy McNabb; and two brothers, William and Oren "Steve" Mason.

She is survived by two sons, Merrill McNabb and Leonard McNabb; four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; nine sisters, Gail McGrew, Helen Garman, Ina Cox, Mae Ruby, Wanda Robertson, Nancy Doonan, Ivalene Robbins, Wilma Sanders and Edith Kinney; four brothers, Norman, Walter, Paul and Earnest.

Graveside services were held Mon., Sept. 21 in the Garrett Cemetery near Delta, with Rev. David Pinkerton officiating.
