Barbara L. Snodgrass, 65, of Sigourney died Monday, Feb. 26, 1996, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born August 16, 1930, in Mahaska County to Edwin Herbert and Esta May Okey Sampson.

She married Rodney Gene Snodgrass October 10, 1954, in Delta. He died August 26, 1977. She graduated from Delta High School. She worked for the Green Thumb Program for the Soil Conservation Service and at the Neighborhood Center for several years. She attended Sigourney United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Snodgrass; and three brothers, Theodore, Duane and Marvin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Alan; and a brother, Gerald.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 29, at Sigourney United Methodist Church, with Rev. Danny Lemons officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
