Leo John Weber, 83, of rural Hedrick, died Wednesday afternoon. July 17, 1996, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 20, 1913, in Clear Creek Township, Keokuk County to Jacob and Magdalena Pieffer Weber. He married LuAnna Rose Sieren on January 30, 1940, at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church at Clear Creek. She died Jan. 27, 1980. He farmed northeast of Farson all of his life.

He is survived by, four sons, David, Howard, Danny, and Douglas; four daughters, Bonnie Adrian, Colleen Adam, Elaine Bartlett and Becky Howard; 22 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and his twin brother, Clarence.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a daughter, Marilyn Feldman; four brothers, John C., Bernard, Nick and Joe; and two sisters, Veronica Weber and Alvina Fritchen.

Services were held July 20 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney, the Rev. Philip Ryan officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney.
