Elmer Goeldner, 94, of Sigourney died, Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1993, at Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

He was born January 22, 1898, in Clear Creek to Guido and Amealia Gruno Goeldner.

He married Mary Timson January 25, 1924, in Oskaloosa.

He attended School in Sigourney. He worked for Rock Island Railroad, Hardlein and Bowers Feed Store and had farmed for Warren Bowers for many years. He also was a taxidermist and was a member of the former Evangelical and Reformed Church in Sigourney.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Carol Bogart; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: two sisters, Selina Chapman and Elsie Jones; a brother, Raymond; and a half-brother, William Hardlein.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney with Rev. Dan Sanford officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney.
