Jack Lee Sellers, 57, of Sigourney, died Sunday, April 26, 1992, at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa.

He was the son of Richard Samuel and Louie Derby Sellers and was born March 16, 1935 in Sigourney. He graduated from Sigourney high school in 1954. H married Lora Lee Strupp on June 27, 1954 at St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church in Sigourney. He was employed by GTE for 37 years and farmed for many years. He was a member and past steward of Local District C.W.A., Bethel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men and Yokefield Parish Council.

He is survived by his wife, Lora Lee; four sons and their wives, James and Cindy, Michael and Naomi, Don and Christie and Charles Sellers; one daughter Brenda and her husband Brian Smithart; eight grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sisters.

Funeral services are today (Wednesday) at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Albert R. Cocke of Bethel United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove cemetery, Sigourney.
