Nancy Katheryn Price, daughter of Madison and Charity Rich, was born January 19, 1883 in Jewell county, Kansas. She passed from this life early Wednesday morning, December 9, 1953, in the Sigourney, Iowa hospital after a confinement of some three weeks.

On September 11, 1907, she was united in marriage to Orval B. Price at Esbon, Kansas. To this union was born two sons, Lewis and Beryl. Beryl preceded his mother in death in 1922 at the age of three and one-half years.

In 1941 Mr. and Mrs. Price moved to a farm west of Hayesville, Iowa where they have resided the past several years. Mrs. Price was a birthright member of the Friends church. She will always be remembered for her bright and cheerful disposition which was a blessing to everyone who came into her presence.

Preceding Mrs. Price in death have been six half-brothers and sisters. They were John Rich, Joseph, Samuel, Frank, Mary Ann Taylor and Rebecca Dillon.

Surviving to note with sorrow her passing are her husband, son Lewis and wife of Des Moines, Iowa; one grandson, Russell; two sisters, Ella Winslow of Lemanon, Kansas, and Elizabeth Hoffman of Halstead, Kansas, along with a number of loving nieces and nephews, and a host of warm appreciative neighbors and friends.

Memorial services were held Friday afternoon, the 11th, in the Reynolds Funeral Parlor at Sigourney, Iowa. Rev. Robert M. Hall, pastor of the Christian church, had charge of the service. Interment was in Pennington cemetery south of the city.
