Greiner Rites On Saturday

RICHLAND - Bernard M. Greiner, 61, died at his home in Richland Wednesday night.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., at Mother Cabrini Church with Father Paul Wetzstein offering the mass. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery at Clear Creek. The rosary will be recited Friday at 8:15 p.m., at Mother Cabrini Church. The Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Greiner was born Dec. 5, 1913, near Keota, the son of Mike and Caroline Conrad Greiner. He was married April 28, 1936 to Adelia Adam.

A semi-retired former Richland businessman, he and Mrs. Greiner had moved from their farm to a new home in Richland in 1967.

He was a member of Mother Cabrini Catholic Church and the Richland Commercial Club.

Greiner is survived by his widow; five sons, Elmer, Kenneth, Francis, Ernest N., and Tony, all of rural Keota; eight daughters, Mary Catherine Greiner of Keota, Mrs. Bill Crawford of Richland, Mrs. Robert Marscheck and Mrs. Bill Houser both of Iowa City, Mrs. Don Mousel of Clear Lake, Mrs. Melvin Gipple of Crawfordsville and Kathleen and Theresa at the family home near Keota.

Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sieren of Keota, Mrs. Rena Peiffer of Keota, Sister Licinia, OSF, both of Milwaukee, Wis., three brothers, Charles of Washington, John A. of Independence and Leonard of Keota.
