Mrs. Henry Stokesberry, 87, of Sigourney, died Monday morning, September 2 at 1:15 at the Pleasant Valley rest home in Sigourney.

The daughter of Martin and Margaret Frey Davis, she was born January 1, 1876, and Keokuk county. She was married December 3, 1899 to Henry Stokesberry of Sigourney, at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Stokesberry had one daughter. Mrs. Stokesberry was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died August 6, 1962; a daughter, Gertrude Ruth Barnhart; one granddaughter, Ruth Barnhardt; two brothers, Charles and James Davis; one half brother, Harvey Davis and one sister, Ruth Davis.

Survivors include her brother, H. S. Davis of Sigourney; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 PM at the home funeral home and Sigourney. The Reverend Kirby Fuller, Pastor of the Sigourney Christian church officiated with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers were John Cassens, Lawrence Atwood, Bernard Herrmann, Clifford McBride, Orris Lane and Fred Stohler
