Rites Tuesday For Chambers

SIGOURNEY - Raymond L. Chambers, 49, former Jefferson County farmer, died suddenly Saturday evening. He lived on a farm near Sigourney.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lancaster Church east of Sigourney. The casket will be taken from the Holmes Funeral Home in Sigourney to the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Friends may call tonight at the funeral home.

In addition to his widow, the former Beverly Killion, Chambers is survived by two sons, Stanley, Keota, and Steven, Washington; also a granddaughter, and the following sisters and brother, Mrs. Max Bates, Atlantic; Mrs. Dallas Kitzman, Homestead; and Donald, Richland, and Russell, Packwood.

A member of IOOF, he had farmed in the Fairfield area until moving to Sigourney.
