SCOTCH GROVE - Funeral services for Louis H. Heeren, 67, were held Saturday, April 3 at St. John's Lutheran church with Rev. C. C. Gutekunst, officiating. Burial was in the St. John's cemetery.

Heeren, formerly of Scotch Grove, died March 31 at John McDonald hospital. The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Monk, he was born near Monticello April 8, 1903 and was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran church where he had held many offices. While in Scotch Grove, the Heerens lived on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Lynn First.

He was married to Laura Gardner, May 16, 1934, farming until 1946 when they moved to Monticello, where he had been recently employed at the Freese Motors company.

Survivors in addition to his wife are a sister, Mrs. Henry Bartels, Scotch Grove; two brothers, Albert and Lawrence, Monticello; a step-brother, Lawrence Rath, Coggon; three step-sisters, Mrs. Dora Parrott, Mrs. Garold Mattice and Mrs. Walter McElmeel, all of Manchester.

Casket bearers were Raymond Heeren, Richard Heeren, Dale Heeren, Donald Gray, John Gray and Robert Gray.
