ANAMOSA - Funeral services were held Nov. 18 for Mrs. Velma P. Lowe, 78, at Anamosa. Burial was in the Wilcox cemetery.

Mrs. Lowe died unexpectedly Nov. 15 in the Senior Citizen's home, Monticello.

The daughter of John and Lucy Dowden Ketchan, she was born on Dec. 22, 1893. She was married to Clyde Lowe Nov. 11, 1922.

She is survived by 5 children, Erwin, Kenneth and Mrs. Lyle (Evelyn) Thumma, all of Anamosa; Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Darrow, Mechanicsville and Galen, Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Rinda Tucker, Milwaukee, Wis. and a brother, Vernie Ketchan, Maquoketa.
