WYOMING - Funeral service for Mrs. Stella Parr, 94, who died at her home Sunday, Jan. 10, after a long illness, was held in the Wyoming Presbyterian church Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 1:30 p.m.

Rev. F. E. Somerville, Anamosa, officiated. Walter Sullivan sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Sullivan at the organ. Casket bearers were Mrs. Parr's grandsons, Robert Lindsay and Tony Andrle; and four nephews, James Clapp, Robert Clapp, Harry Lindsay and Elwood Kirkpatrick. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Stella Vaughn was one of 11 children of P. L. and Lydia Baldwin Vaughn, and was born in Oxford township July 17, 1859. Sept. 17, 1882, she was married to Robert Lindsay, who had come to Oxford Junction from the state of Ohio. THey moved to Plankinton, S. Dak., where their three children, Thomas, Vaughn, and Clara were born.

Upon Mr. Lindsay's death April 4, 1889, Mrs. Lindsay, with her young family, moved to Wyoming. Sometime later she was married to Joseph Parr, who preceded her in the summer of 1937.

Mrs. Parr was a charter member of the Presbyterian Women's Industrial society and a long-time member of Madonna lodge, Degree of Rebekah, in Wyoming. She is survived by her sons, Thomas and Vaughn, both of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Mrs. Clara Miller, Wyoming; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
