Mrs. Anna Lowe, 91, long-time resident of Anamosa, died Saturday night, Dec. 12, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Methodist church with Rev. H. A. James officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Goettsch funeral home is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Lowe was born at Lansing, Dec. 14, 1861, the daughter of James and Margaret Walsh Bakewell. She was married to James H. Lowe, March 30, 1880, at Lansing.

In 1898 they moved to Anamosa, where Mr. Lowe was employed as an officer at the Men's reformatory.

Surviving are two children, P. E. Lowe, Cedar Rapids, and Miss Alice Lowe, Anamosa. Twelve grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aug. 27, 1912, and five chilcren.
