Carl Frederick Greiser was born near Wyoming Iowa, January 4, 1895, and passed away at his home near Lake View Iowa, November 6, 1918 at the age of 23 years, 10 months and 2 days.

He was baptized at the M. E. Church, at Monmouth, Iowa, April 15, 1900 and remained member of that church until the last. He was married March 7, 1917, to Miss Della Minnert, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to whom one son, Harold Carl, was born April 10, 1918.

Carl was well liked by all who knew him, winning friends by his cheery smile and friendly ways. His death followed an attack of pneumonia. Mr. Greiser hastened to Lake View and accompanied the wife and her mother here with the body, which was brought to the home of his parents, on Friday forenoon.

Brief services were held at the home Saturday forenoon, conducted by Rev. Gould, of Anamosa, and the remains laid to rest in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Lyons, Alva Orr, Archie Edwards, George Sears, George Overholt and Carroll Lightfoot, all chosen from his intimate friends. Floral tributes were many and beautiful, which spoke of the esteem in which he was held. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were: Mrs. Lula Avance and son, Howard, of Hamilton, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Behrends, of Monticello; Mrs. Minnert, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Mrs. Sadie Pentico, Mrs. Lenora Tingy and W.
