Last rites for George P. Hansen Sr., 82, Wyoming, father of Rex Hansen, Tipton, were held at St. Mark's Episcopal church, Maquoketa, Jan.9 with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery, Maquoketa.

Mr. Hansen died at the Jackson County hospital, Maquoketa, Jan. 6.

He was born in Jackson county and was married to Adah Martin in Maquoketa. She preceded him in death. He had farmed in Clinton, Jackson and Jones counties before retiring.

Mr. Hansen is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Maxine) Bartels, Olin; Mrs. Virgil (Ellen) Wilcox, Davenport, and Mrs. Donald (Mary) Dirks, Wyoming; 4 sons, Rex, Tipton; Dale, Onslow, and George M. and Bill, both of Wyoming; 32 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 4 sisters, Mrs. Anna Sears, Mrs. Mary Schuman, and Mrs. Ella McCarron, all of Maquoketa, and Mrs. Emma Hamilton, Elwood.
