CEDAR RAPIDS - Mrs. Katherine Kelly, 88, former Jones county resident, died at her home in Cedar Rapids, Saturday evening, Feb. 28, after a lingering illness.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at St. Patrick's church, Cedar Rapids, with Rt. Rev. Msgr. D. J. Lenihan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.

Mrs. Kelly was born July 15, 1864, at Temple Hill, Jones county. She had lived in Cedar Rapids for the last 35 years. Her husband, Malachi Kelly, preceded her in death on March 20, 1923.

The following children survive: Bernard M., at home; Leo M., Tuscon, Ariz.; Mrs. Michael Peiffer, Cascade; Mrs. Laura Finn, Anamosa; Mrs. J. G. Griffin, Cedar Rapids, and Anastasia E., at home. Surviving also are 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
