On Sunday January 23, 2022, Chris Green, dedicated husband and father of three children, passed peacefully at the age of 100.

Chris was born October 1st, 1921 in Glen Ellyn IL. to Paul and Edna Green. He graduated from Glenbard West High School in the class of 1940, served in World War II as an army communications engineering technician in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.

After the war Chris earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois. Chris practiced engineering at Skill Corporation and Emerson Electric for 26 years, serving in design, marketing and manufacturing engineering roles in Chicago IL and Heber Springs AR.

Chris was dedicated to his faith and church, helping found Cleburne County Cares Food Pantry in Heber Springs AR and serving as rector for Catholic Cursillo #52. Living and passing on his faith, Chris enjoyed telling stories to children, then later, grandchildren, and sharing his faith with them. His memory will live on in many ways including many gifted woodworking projects.

Chris is survived by his wife Katie of 72 years, daughter Carol, and sons Will and Rob, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30am Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa Iowa with interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
